Bill Mehess Gravity-Shield

Sometimes the simplest experiments are the best: for Bill Mehess, the idea came from noticing that a magnet placed perpendicular over a flat-magnetic field seemed to lose weight. Several hours later, he'd perfected a unique design that appears to negate gravity. Mehess claims a true 450-grams of weight reduction, and has video to back it up...*

"This device will exhibit a verifiable weight loss when activated. The weight loss can be measured from a distance up to 24 inches from the bank of permanent magnets to the device located in the plastic box.

A 12 volt deep cycle battery powers 2 electromagnets. When the remote control hand held unit sends a 24mhz signal to a receiver in the box it triggers a relay which energizes the two electromagnets.

The flux field from the electromagnets is of course vertical-north to south. The flux field from the permanent magnets are horizontal. When the two fields intersect the weight of the electromagnets is reduced.

At this point a measurable weight loss is shown on the scale. Also to illustrate this more graphically I have set up a simple beam balance. The weight loss can be increased greatly by:

a. Adding more electromagnets
b. Varying the distance from the permanent magnets to the electromagnets
c. Physically increasing the size of the electromagnets."

*NOTE: We'd also like to note that in this experiment, the permanent magnets are located in an external enclosure, which still offers valuable practical applications, but is not unqualifiably an AG effect at present. However, Mehess is confident that future iterations of the device will contain the magnets onboard to fully demonstrate a true antigravitic effect.

I think that his preliminary test is good. However I would like to see the perpendicular(horizontal permanent) magnets be placed on the same beam extended from
the electromagnet assembly. Then operate and test on NS EW planes.

Exellent! This is the kind of news I like to see at AmericanAntigravity. I sent an email to the inventor to check if there is a vertical column of lesser gravity as with podkletnov and suggesting placing a watch on the electromagnet to test for time variations as gravity affects time.

Surely this is an electromagnetic field effect
since the external magnets are not resting on the beam but the ground.
The electromagnetic force is levitating the beam by a coupling effect but is in turn exerting extra force on the ground

looks like the videos are down too bad there isn't a mirror available

Is very simple to find out that is just and effect product of magnetic rejectionand lack of deeper knowledge of the forces involved........a different situation would've arised if permanent and electro magnets would've been on the same balance beam

You should be able to replace the electromagnets with permanent magnets oriented to match the polarity of the electromagnets. If you repeat the experiment with the permanent magnets and still get a gravity reduction then you can position a pinwheel halfway into the field and then you will have your perpetual motion machine. Has anyone tried replicating this

Bill Mehess is a fraud and a liar.

Last summer I took the wife and kids to a tugboat show on Lake Union. In the boathouse was a grey-haired old guy who looked entirely honest, selling violins from a cardtable, with an interesting story. On his table was a set of photos of himself in a small woodshop making violins. He said he was retired from the "real world", and now wants to give something back to society. So he builds a few dozen violins each year by hand, and sells them for only the cost of the materials it takes to build them ($80). He said his violins take 40 hours each to make, and he only does it for the pure enjoyment of seeing people become interested in the violin. Such a violin would cost $500-$600 in a music store, but he only has a few to sell and they are all made by hand by him in Oregon, and he attends the show each year to make a few sales of these precious treasures.

I bought one and away we went. Curiously, I was at Kent Cornucopia Days later in the summer and saw a different guy telling the same story. Imagine that...

So today I came to meet someone who deals with violins as a professional musician, scholar, collector and teacher. He took one look at the violin and knew right away that there is absolutely no way, no possible way, it was made anywhere except China in a cheap factory rushing them out by the thousands with useless materials. Not a chance it's handmade, and I won't go into detail but he pointed out clear examples the first of which is the lacquer which could not possibly be applied anywhere but a mass production factory overseas using chemicals not used here. To top it off, he showed me a few real violins and it's obvious we got taken for a ride. My "violin" can be found all over Ebay for $50.

If you come across this guy, or someone offering the same benevolent BS fantasy, ask them to stop lying. Put away the staged photos and sell it for what it is. That's all.

As for his claim to invent a magnet-powered energy device, anyone who will look into the eyes of a child and tell a lie about a handmade violin should not be trusted to tell the truth about anything. I would bet this magnet thing is a fraud too.

If you use solar power to charge your deep cycle batteries you can eliminate the need for additional input energy.... Tesla would be proud
