Canadian Inventor
Troy Hurtubise is at it again -- the intrepid inventor of
the Bearsuit, Fire-Paste, and Light Infantry Military Blast
Cushion has revealed a new invention which he claims can 'fuse
light'. Hurtubise has been featured demonstrating his other
inventions on numerous television and radio shows, but if
his claims about Angel-Light are correct it may be too dangerous
to test!
According to
Hurtubise, the Angel-Light has a unique effect: it makes solid
objects completely transparent, a bit like the classic comic-book
"X-Ray specs" were supposed to work. However, Troy's
found a secondary "Hyde-Effect" that makes it unpredictably
dangerous. The beam will destroy any electronics in the beam's
path -- even up to aircraft at 70,000 feet in height. Even
worse, the beam causes nearly immediate biological damage
that's made Troy hesistant to continue researching it!
Focus on the Angel Light |
Troy's Inventions
The Angel Light: This is Hurtubise' newest invention
-- a transparency ray that makes solid objects seem
to completely disappear! This technology uses an array
of light & microwave optical inputs to "fuse
light" into a new form of beam with some dangerous
side-effects.
LIMBC: The Light Infantry Military Blast Cushion
is a technology that Hurtubise originally developed
for his continuing Ursus Bearsuit Project. The LIMBC
system has evolved into a new form of protection from
bullets, rockets, and improvised explosive devices.
The Blast Cushions are composed of multiple layers of
Kevlar, bound together with a few special binders and
put into a 20-ton press. Hurtubise is hoping that a
variation on the LIMBC makes it into service in Iraq,
to help protect troops from a variety of unconventional
attacks!
Fire Paste: - The idea for a lightweight, heat-proof
shield to replace the bulky ceramics used in NASA re-entry
tiles has been around for a while. In 1994, British
inventor Maurice Ward invented a heat-impervous plastic
called 'Starlite", but the invention never made
it to market. Hurtubise has gone one step further --
he's created a heat-proof paint that can not only withstand
thousands of degrees in temperature, but also completely
blocks heat-transfer! Hurtubise has suggested this as
a potential future replacement for the touchy ceramic
heat-tiles used for aerospace applications.
Fire Paste: - The Ursus Bearsuit has been Hurtubise
dream ever since his nasty run-in with a wild Grizzly
bear nearly 20 years ago! Originally, the idea behind
the suit was to allow up-close protection against wild
animals, but Hurtubise has since incorporated advancements
in technology from his other inventions to make the
idea much larger in scope. The Bearsuit has evolved
from the original concept focused on protection from
Grizzly bears, to a rough & tumble set of combat
armor offering protection from rifles, shotguns, and
even a 10-ton crushing log-swing!
