X-Prize Team Leader & Discraft company CEO joins us to talk about his concept for a Mach 10 Pulsejet-driven aircraft with the ability to rapidly ascend into space, while using an onboard oxidizer for flight at higher altitudes where conventional propulsion ceases to work. Pulsejets are not a new technology, and in fact were used in World War II, but noise and other factors have precluded them from use in modern aviation. Bloomer hopes to change that trend with a novel Pulsejet spaceplane design.
